Every year, Christmas roles around and we are faced with the dilemma of deciding which Christmas event is the best one to attend for the year, so we’ve decided to make the decision easy for you by putting together a list of the best Christmas events going on this festive season.
Martin Place Christmas Tree
Every day from 12pm-12am, starting Thursday the 26th of November until the 25th of December
We have to start with one of Sydney cities most exciting Christmas tradition. The Martin Place Christmas Tree is back again this year with a visual spectacle that is bound to put the Christmas cheer in your heart. The interactive tree is a lights spectacular that will make the kids squeal with joy!
This year they also have included the ability to spread your own Christmas love by having a special screen on the tree that shows messages sent in by the crowd. Simple text or tweet your Christmas message to 046 SYD XMAS (0467 939 627) or #sydxmastree to have your message flash up on the screen.
Carols in the Domain
Saturday the 19th of December in The Domain
What is Christmas without the annual Carols in the Domain. Hosted by Woolworths, the Carols has long been a tradition in Sydney where everyone comes together and celebrates Christmas cheer. Lots of famous names practice all year to sing at the Carols, and even Santa pays a visit during the show! With the Woolworths showbags and lots of activities, it is an incredible night out for the whole family.
Carols by the Sea
Bondi Beach, December 9th, 5-8:30pm
If you’re looking for something a little more low key but full of community spirit, head on down to Bondi Beach on the 9th of December to experience some Carols, children’s entertainment and lots of fun! The carols are being held behind the Pavilion and it’s a good idea to bring a comfy rug to sit on during the show.
Coogee Pavilion Christmas Trees
Saturday the 5th of December (for the tree sale), Every Weekend in December
Coogee are bring something a little different to the celebrations this Christmas. Every weekend this month, Santa will be taking time out of his busy schedule to head down to Coogee Pavilion to pose for free Santa photos!
Along with Santa, tomorrow there will be a sale of Christmas Trees going on in Coogee Pavilion where all the proceeds of the sale will go towards The Ronald McDonald House in Randwick.
Coogee Carols 2015
Sunday the 20th of December 2015
The 14th annual Coogee Carols at the Goldstein Reserve Coogee Beach are coming up very close to Christmas Day, and it promises to be an epic celebration of the Spirit of Christmas.
Celebrities and personalities volunteer their time to appear at the Carols to sing the classics. They are supported by the Murray Jackson twelve piece band (and of course Santa).
The event is generally pretty popular so large screens will be put up so that every will be able to enjoy the concert without missing out on all the action.
There is always something to do in Sydney when it comes to Christmas time, and there is never nothing to do in the city, so enjoy picking your festive activities and have a wonderful Christmas Holiday!
