Guide to New Years Eve 2015
New Years Eve is always a time where decisions need to be made about where to celebrate the coming of the New Year. So again, we’ve decided to give you a quick guide to what’s happening in Sydney this NYE and where are the best places to watch the famous Sydney fireworks!
New Years Eve Sydney 2015
How else should we ring the New Year in but to spend it standing in Sydney Harbour enjoying the incredible 12 minute display of fireworks that rings through the air at 12am on the dot. Each year we are astounded by the intricate firework dance that, coupled with the best music of the year, blow everyone away and leaves the world wondering if they can beat our spectacular display.
For the families with kids, there is always the traditional family fireworks at 9pm so that you can enjoy the night at a reasonable hour for the little ones.
Coupled with the fireworks at 9pm, there will also be the Harbour of Light Parade of up to 60 boats floating across the Harbour with fairy lights hanging off the boats.
As always, we do warn you that it would be a great idea to make your way to the city early so that you secure yourself the best seat in the house to watch the big show.
Coogee Sparkles NYE 2015
For something a little more low key, the annual Coogee Sparkles will be taking place on Coogee Beach at 9pm featuring Coogee’s own version of a fireworks display to ring in the New Year.
As always, you can enjoy the sun and beach during the day and stick around at night for the fireworks and have a really relaxed beginning for the beginning of the New Year.
The best vantage points to watch the fireworks are: Goldstein Reserve, Grant Reserve & Trenerry Reserve, Clovelly Beach car park, Burrows Park Headland and the local restaurants and hotels.
So it’s pretty simple: either you brave the crowds and enjoy Sydney’s famous NYE fireworks or keep it casual and enjoy the beach with a side of fireworks to end your night. Either way you’re going to have an incredible time!
