Kurt Elling: Dedicated to You | 2 November

Sydney Opera House

Want a perfect way to finish Melbourne Cup Day?

How about going to the Kurt Elling ‘Dedicated to You’ concert in the Sydney Opera Concert Hall at 8-30pm that night for his final appearance on his national tour?

Listen in to Saturday Lush Life and Tuesday Voices for your chance to pick up a double pass to the concert.

Kurt will be singing the music of John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman, such as Lush Life, Dedicated to You, You Are Too Beautiful, Autumn Serenade from their 1963 album. According to Variety, ‘Kurt has taken John Coltrane’s songbook and applied to his voice the sort of inventiveness that the legendary saxophonist brought to his instrument at the time.’ He is accompanied by his quartet, with Laurence Hobgood on piano, Harish Raghavan on bass, Ulysses Owens Jr on drums and Bob Sheppard on saxophone.
