Harvey is a composer, vocalist, guitarist and trumpet player from the NSW coast who performs all around Sydney and regularly tours Australia, south-east Asia and Europe. On his travels Harvey has shared stages with some of his key musical influences including surf-roots musician Donavon Frankenreiter and guitar virtuoso Joe Robinson.

On this album “Honey”, which is his second full-length, he moves through the various sonic territory of soulful roots, blues, funk and reggae. I’ve always admired the confident simplicity of his arrangements, a fine example of the basics done well.

I can personally attest to the fact that his solo shows are worth leaving the house for, Harvey works with his loop pedal, guitar and trumpet to create multi-layered sound as he shifts through genres and styles. Look out for his duo The Milkshakes as well.

We’ll be bringing you selections from the album all this week on Eastside Radio. You can stream Harvey’s music here, and check his tour dates online here.
