Human Rights Film Festival Opens in Sydney
The 7th annual Human Rights Arts and Film Festival (HRAFF) opens in Sydney on May 27th after a successful launch over two weeks in Melbourne. Thursday Drive’s Mick Paddon spoke with the Festival Director Ella McNeil about why the festival is held, how the films are selected and which six films are being shown in Sydney at the Dendy in Newtown. The Sydney screenings, which run through the week until Saturday 31st, are the next step in the festival’s tour around the country. After Sydney it goes to Alice, Canberra, Perth, Brisbane and Darwin.
