In A Nutshell

A journey through Shakespeare’s best-loved plays in Bell Shakespeare’s new theatre space at Pier 2/3 in the Walsh Bay Arts Precinct.

Bell Shakespeare Artistic Director, Peter Evans

Bell Shakespeare will present the first production in their new theatre space The Neilson Nutshell at the newly redeveloped Pier 2/3 at Walsh Bay Arts Precinct from 4 – 7 August.

In A Nutshell is a journey through key scenes and speeches from some of Shakespeare’s best-loved plays, performed by a remarkable ensemble of actors and guided by Bell Shakespeare’s Artistic Director Peter Evans.

The ensemble cast will skillfully switch between characters and scenes from a variety of plays, including Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, King Lear and As You Like It, bringing to life Shakespeare’s words. The cast includes Bell Shakespeare Associate Director James Evans, Eleni Cassimatis, Harriet Gordon-Anderson and Robert Menzies, who recently starred in the company’s acclaimed production of Hamlet, along with Blazey Best and Toby Schmitz.
