Inappropriate Nudity, Underwater Halloween, Little Egypt’s Speakeasy & Cirque du Soleil on Arts Monday

Today’s guests: Lucian McGuiness, Samuel Hilton, Harley Oliver, and Alevtyna Titarenko.

My first guest: Creator and Musical Director, Lucian McGuiness discusses Little Egypt’s Speakeasy – a live rhythm and blues burlesque concert drama, which tells the tale of exotic dancer, Little Egypt, and her infamous club in 1950’s USA. With a cast of Sydney’s hottest performers, Little Egypt’s Speakeasy is comedic narration, dance and burlesque, and rhythm and blues in a completely transformed Django Bar that puts the audience straight inside 1950s America and Little Egypt’s Club. Grand Moustache’s production of Little Egypt’s Speakeasy has evolved from its smash hit show Little Egypt’s Burlesque.

Among the Aquarium’s sharks, penguins and dugongs, will be pop-up bars, marine bingo, a haunted photo booth and music.

Guests are challenged to search for sunken treasure throughout the Aquarium’s underwater caverns and corridors, and interact with creepy crawlies, conservationists and emerging artists and comedians.

“I’m interested in what happens when the nude is painted slightly out of its usual context. The nude becomes naked.”

Harley’s collection includes provocative and striking paintings of today’s celebrities, early explorers, 1930’s beach-goers, and the Queen of England.
