Jake Barden- Moving Up

Eastside Radio’s Album Of The Week is Moving Up by Jake Barden.

Saxophonist Jake Barden has been hailed as one of Australia’s best up and coming young musicians.

For the past six years he has been mentored by Don Burrows and John Morrison, and was a finalist for the James Morrison Scholarship at Generations in Jazz, South Australia.

Inspired by his journey as a young musician, he now presents his debut album Moving Up.

It features two of Australia’s finest jazz musicians Mike Nock and Don Burrows as special guests. Jake’s saxophone plays alongside these jazz giants to present an album of highest quality jazz. Together these musicians offer smooth flowing sounds and classic jazz grooves.

Having toured throughout Australia, Asia, Europe and North America since he was 14, it is clear this is an artist to keep your ears and eyes on.

Jake presents Jazz in Continuum every Saturday from 3pm on Eastside Radio. Stay closely tuned to Eastside as we are giving away a copy of the album to a listener everyday this week!

Moving Up is an independent release by Jake Barden. For more information go to jakebarden.com.au.
