Joe Chindamo – Anyone Who Had A Heart: The Music Of Burt Bacharach

Eastside Radio’s Album of the Week is Anyone Who Had A Heart: The Music Of Burt Bacharach by Joe Chindamo.

Originally released in 1997 when it was an ARIA award nominee, the LP was re-released earlier this year due to popular demand.

The album features Chindamo’s rework on some of the most popular songs from the 60’s composed by singer songwriter Burt Bacharach, including ‘Anyone Who Had A Heart’, ‘I Say A Little Prayer’ and the classic ‘Walk On By’.

The 2009 APRA award winning Chindamo offers a familiar and soothing sound on this album without being predictable. Bacharach’s work is given a new artistic twist that is personable and easy on the ear. Vivid and engaging, the album cements the notion of Chindamo being one of the most influential and beguiling contemporary Australian jazz musicians.

Anyone Who Had A Heart: The Music Of Burt Bacharach is a release on the Jazz Head label. For more information on Joe Chindamo and this LP go to their website at www.jazzhead.com

Stay closely tuned to Eastside as we’re giving away a copy of the album to a listener everyday this week!
