Keep Winter Away
Arts Thursday, 31 July with Maisy Stapleton, is presenting a range of interviews to stimulate your imagination and inspire you on Thursday morning from 10:30 am til noon.
First up, travel to the extraordinary world of artist Pat Brassington whose work is on show at the Stills Gallery in Paddington. Curator Bronwyn Rennex joins Arts Thursday to help us penetrate the surprising and surreal world of this photo media artist.
Later follow Arts Thursday to China and the conservation of its cultural heritage.
Envisioning Historical Place is an exhibition at the Tin Sheds Gallery at Sydney University. It profiles the pioneering preservation and conservation work carried out in China by the Tongji University in Shanghai. We are meeting Dr Cameron Logan at the exhibition to show us around, tell us why the Tin Sheds has mounted this exhibition and explain the ground-breaking work being undertaken to save, preserve and reinvigorate China’s past.

As a special delight, to celebrate the passing of Winter, there will be a reprise of the amusing ‘Penguins interview’ with Antarctic Historian Steve Martin, which delves into the habits, habitat and popularisation of this iconic Antarctic creature.
