Kinetic Jazz Festival 2013 opens tomorrow night!

This week, from Tuesday 22 – Sunday 27 January, The Kinetic Jazz Festival 2013 will take over St Luke’s in Enmore.

Running since 2010, the festival has grown each year, with acclaimed musicians and dynamic line-ups –  this year is no exception.

Characterised by a wave of new projects especially crafted for this year’s festival, there will be an eclectic mix of bands, ranging from intimate duos to the 18-piece Kinetic Orchestra (pictured left) and, for a fresh perspective on groove, some newly formed groups made up of Sydney’s leading young jazz artists.

Some highlights include:

– International flute master Kaoru Watanabe in concert with local world music master Kim Sanders

– Pianists Matt McMahon (Eastside Presenter), Bill Risby, Roger Dean and Peter Dasent (pictured right)

–  Urban Gypsies will present a concert of passionate Latin gypsy jazz.

This festival is coming up fast so get in quickly and book some tickets!

When: 22nd to 27th January

Where: St Luke’s Church 11 Stanmore Road, Enmore
