Kylie Auldist – Still Life

Eastside Radio’s Album of the Week is Still Life by Kylie Auldist.

Melbourne based and half Samoan soul diva Kylie Auldist has delivered the goods on her latest album as she continues to serve up feel good & sensational soul music.

Still Life is Kylie’s third album and it’s been created by her long-time producer Lance Ferguson. Kylie is probably best known for her performances alongside the kings of Aussie funk The Bamboos, she did in fact feature on several of their tracks on their album released earlier this year –  Medicine Man. Still Life, however, sees Kylie not restrain herself within soul funk music, venturing also into disco and reggae sounds, including a fantastic rendition of The Black Keys’ ‘Howlin’ For You’.

Switching it up between dance-floor fillers and slower ballads, Still Life is an easy going and totally accessible album, providing you with everything you would have hoped for from the woman who is quickly establishing herself amongst the elite voices of modern soul.

Still Life is a release by Tru Thoughts and Fuse Music. For more information go to kylieauldist.com

Stay closely tuned to Eastside as we are giving away a copy of Still Life to a listener every-day this week!
