Laique – Cravin Just A Little Misbehavin

Eastside Radio’s Album of the Week is Cravin Just A Little Misbehavin by Laique.

The Brisbane based band describe themselves as:
‘Wine without the glass and murder without the guilt,’
‘The swinging twenties without prohibition,’
‘The lust without the phone numbers.’

Laique are a quirky, cheeky and retro group who take a very bohemian and jovial approach to their music. In Cravin Just A Little Misbehavin Laique transport you to a smoky 1930’s Parisian drink spot where the alcohol is flowing and the party’s going. The band have painted a vivid picture of swinging gypsy styled jazz with a European kick on their debut album.

Lead singer Kylie Southwell has the ability to entrance her listeners with her theatrical delivery of vocals. The rest of Laique who consist of Gerard Mapstone on guitar & banjo, Michael Patterson on violin, Samuel Vincent on double bass and Will Eager on drums create a bounce and bop to their beats and grooves that are sure to have you toe tapping and swinging the night away. Cravin just a Little Misbehavin is an enlivening and addictive album that could foxily seduce even the most conservative listener.

Cravin Just A Little Misbehavin is an independent release by Laique. For more information on the band and the album check out their beautiful website at www.laique.com.au
