Latin band competition Clave Contra Clave 2012 Sydney Heat on October 20th

Do you want to hear Latin music that makes you dance? Just come to Clave Contra Clave, a live Latin band competition of five hot Australian groups on the 20th of October. The bands will bring the Latin fire to Sydney, trying their best to impress you during the heats; only two of them will make it through to the finals in Brisbane the following week!

Chango (Sydney), El Orqueston (Sydney), Lorenzo Y Su Swing (Sydney), La Mezcla (Sydney) and Salcedo (Adelaide) are all battling to get there. Mi Tierra (Canberra), winners of last year’s Clave Contra Clave, are joining them on stage as special guests. All the bands will get musical support from DJ Willie Sabor and DJ AV El Cubano. The fiesta kicks off at 6.30pm at UNSW Roundhouse, Kensington; tickets cost only $30 adult and $25 concession.

Sydney’s best two groups will have real competition at the finals from both Brisbane and Melbourne artists. The victorious group will win $10,000, the title as Australia’s number one band for 2012, plus they’ll have the chance to play with the acclaimed eleven-time Grammy nominated Willie Colon, in concert with Fonseca!
