Latinaotearoa @ Jam Gallery for Sounds of Primavera

Latin music will be the talk of October with Latinaotearoa set to play at the Jam Gallery as a part of the Sounds of Primavera Latin music festival. Joining Latinaotearoa will be Kriola Collective, DJ Afro and Pineapple Republic.

Latinaotearoa are a Latin-funk soul & hip-hop group that has been gaining some serious music cred in New Zealand over the past few years.

Jennifer Zea, from Venezuela, DJ Bobby Brazuka, and Isaac Aesili make up the trio that is Latinaotearoa, whose sound blends local flavour with their traditional music of their homelands and modern sounds that are resonating through Latin music.

This group is no stranger to the stage and are set to blow the lid off the Jam Gallery.

Not only does Sydney get to experience the phenom that is Latinaotearoa, the audience will the treated to the 10 piece band Kriola Collective.

Kriola Collective will be playing their own versions of the 70’s Black Rio Samba, Soul and Funk movements from Brazil. The band’s aim is to get the whole audience moving with their ensemble of classics that bring Latin to life!

DJ Afro will spice things up as well with a set of dance floor classics to spice the night up with modern sounds. A regular in the house music movement, DJ Afro has played some of the worlds biggest venues, including Giant Step and Turntables on the Hudson.

To round out the night, Pineapple Republic will boogie on down with world sounds to make the night a Latin night to remember.
