Let’s Talk Healthy Relationships

break the silence

Where are the lines between healthy and unhealthy when it comes to relationships? At what point does love cross over to obsession and violence? Unfortunately, for many the line isn’t always so clear, and domestic violence can be a hard topic to broach. Often it takes an outside perspective for a victim to recognize the signs and take the appropriate measures to extricate themselves from harmful relationships.

If you are concerned about a friend, family member, neighbor, or even yourself and want to know more about what it means to be in a healthy relationship, the Woollahra Municipal Council is hosting a free event called “Let’s Talk Healthy Relationships.”

The evening will include information on the many different types of domestic and interpersonal violence, including physical and emotional abuse. There will also be resources provided for where to get help and more information.

On this empowering evening, have the chance to hear from Domestic Violence Liaison Officer Catherine Farrell, the CEO of Women’s Community Shelters Annabelle Daniel, and author and survivor of domestic violence Kay Schubach.

The event is free and open to all. For more information about the event, click HERE.
