Linda Wood’s ‘Return’ album launch to donate all profits to the fight against depression

Linda Wood performanceReturn‘ is the aptly named new album from Sydney singer-songwriter Linda Wood, to be launched by Wood and her band at Ginger’s on Thursday 11th April.

After producing and releasing her first album, ‘Duel’ in 2007 followed by the singles ‘Shut up and Dance’ (2009) and ‘Boat & Sail (You be the boat)’ (2011), ‘Return’ sees Wood on a new venture into co-writing, having collaborated on five of the eleven tracks.

Inspired by her own battle with depression, Wood recorded ‘Linda Wood’s Dot2Dot Project: A Bee-autiful Life’ in July 2012; the DOT2DOT Ensemble and Max De Groot will be joining her on stage on the night.

All the proceeds from the event will be going to The Black Dog Institute, a clinical research and support facility for mood disorders.

This is set to be an uplifting night of original ukelele music, so head along and support a very worthy cause.
