SALLY MCINERNEY – Haystack near Koorawatha

Sally McInerney in conversation with Dr Margaux Dombkins about the historic photographic exhibition with her mother, Olive Cotton – “Mother & Daughter: A Conversation: These two notable Australian women photographers are exhibiting together for the very first time.

Olive Cotton was married to renowned photographer, Max Dupain in the 1930s and ran the Dupain Studio in Sydney during the early war years. Olive later remarried Max McInerney and moved to Koorawatha, regional NSW.

Olive’s daughter, Sally McInerney is a highly accomplished photographer and has held many solo exhibitions. This collection of Sally’s images reflects her life in Sydney and her love of the country.

Olive Cotton is now widely celebrated as one of Australia’s greatest photographers.
