Nardean talks identity, poetry and taking control of her future on The New Thing

Nardean possesses a natural gift for words.

It’s not often that you can genuinely say that, but as someone who has only been exercising her pen in the poetry realm for the last 4 years; this Sydney rapper has created explorative and thought-provoking poetry and music.

Look no further than her debut EP Creatress – a 10-track EP (out via Fight Music) that ebbs and flows with dreamy hip hop production, Arabic scales and powerful and insightful lyrics.

Nardean joined Chelsea on The New Thing (Monday 9-10:30am) recently to chat about the EP, her personal experiences with family, and how she ditched University to follow her passion.
