On Your Bikes…Get Set…Ride!

As part of our 30th Anniversary  in 2013 Eastside Radio in association with the City of Sydney proudly presents the East Side Ride. Sounds intriguing but what exactly is the East Side Ride? Well, here’s our very proud mission statement:

“The East Side Ride is a free community event that encourages activity in the areas of cycling, green living and live music. Located in Centennial Park, the event will play host to stalls and workshops from a wide variety of participants. By bringing together people from all rides of life the East Side Ride will provide a point of connectivity in an ever-expanding city”

You’d have to be blind Freddie not to notice the two wheel revolution currently gripping our beautiful city. Not only have we witnessed the growth of cyclists up and down Oxford St over the past 5 years we’ve also embraced it at Eastside Radio with several staff, presenters and volunteers all choosing to cycle to the station.

It made perfect sense then to team up with the City of Sydney to present our first ever cycling event. With planning and preparation well under way, a soon to be announced Sunday in Centennial Park will see a dazzling display of bikes, healthy lifestyles and live music.

We’re currently taking Expressions of Interest so if this sounds like something you’d like to attend as well as be a part of then please get in touch at eastsideride@eastsidefm.org or call us on 9331 3000.

Stay tuned for more details in the near future. Until then, put your foot to the pedal!
