Painted from Memory
City Recital Hall presents Painted From Memory, The Music of Burt Bacharach and Elvis Costello starring Michael Falzon and Bobby Fox.
In the late nineties, Burt Bacharach, teamed up with the inimitable Elvis Costello to create the remarkable song God Give Me Strength. Bacharach and Costello continued writing together to earn a Grammy Award for I Still Have That Other Girl from the 1998 album Painted From Memory.
Taking its name from the Bacharach and Costello album, Painted From Memory will be a first for City Recital Hall audiences. Australian artists Michael Falzon and Bobby Fox perform a unique reimagining of this classic album along with other classic hits.

About Michael Falzon
Michael (born 16 May 1972) is a Sydney born Australian musical theatre/rock tenor actor, and producer – running his own production company, Good Egg Creative.
He is known primarily for his roles in Rock of Ages; Jeff Waynes Musical Version of The War of The Worlds; and Hedwig and The Angry Inch. His career has encompassed intimate cabaret performances for Sydney Musical Theatre Cabaret Festival; and Michael Falzon – Plugged In! through to arena performances in the Queen/Ben Elton musical We Will Rock You, as well as TV and film roles including the cult short film Computer Boy. In 2013 he joined the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra to record I Dreamed A Dream: The Hit Songs Of Broadway for ABC Classics. He appeared in the Australian leg of The Music of Queen:Rock and Symphonic Spectacular in Sydney and Perth. Falzon debuted the new cabaret act Swing On This at Adelaide Cabaret Festival in 2014. Swing On This was presented by Adelaide Festival Centre in association with Falzon’s company Good Egg Creative.
Bobby Fox
Hailing from Longford Ireland, Bobby’s career highlights iinclude; 4 times World Irish Dance Champion and touring with Irish productions such as Riverdance, Dancing on Dangerous Ground (principal understudy) and To Dance on the Moon (principal dancer).
Upon moving to Australia in 2002, Bobby began his professional musical theatre career and hasn’t looked back with feature roles in Mamma Mia, Leader of the Pack, Dusty – The Original Pop Diva, We Will Rock You, Spamalot and The Production Company’s Sweet Charity and Damn Yankies.
Bobby was then hand picked by the man himself to play the role of Frankie Valli in the smash hit musical The Jersey Boys, playing to critical acclaim and sold out seasons in Melbourne & Sydney.
