Park to Pacific – transforming Clovelly Road

If you live in the Clovelly area, you will definitely want to spend some time on the Park to Pacific website. Park to Pacific is a community association whose goal is to see the revitalising of the whole of the Clovelly Road strip. The organisation’s name refers to it’s interest in improving Clovelly Road all the way from Centennial Park to Clovelly Beach. Park to Pacific envisions Clovelly Road as “a string of villages on a greener, safer and more sustainable street”.

A trial of these “Better Block” ideas will take place on the street on 19th October this year, but in the meantime the group holds regular planning meetings, where ideas are exchanged and the conversation centres on what you, the local residents, want for your streets cape. “Our vision is for Clovelly Road to be a living, complete street; with greenery, outdoor seating, kerbside dining, cycleways, thriving businesses, parklets, community gardens, places for children and the elderly and an increased community feel.”

To do this, Park to Pacific needs as much participation as possible from community volunteers. So come along to the next meeting and get involved in making Clovelly Road the place you imagined it could be.
