And about the fun and not so fun parts of a  life half lived “in the field”, working as an ecological consultant.

As an ecologist he spends about half his working life in the field. Searching for threatened plants and animals, sometimes bent over a microscope, sometimes working through the night on nocturnal surveys, sometimes navigating complicated legislation and always appreciating a good  coffee.
