Taikoz Artistic Director Ian Cleworth joined Claudia Chan Shaw on Arts Friday

Have you ever experienced a performance of taiko drumming? It’s very
exciting. You can feel the drumming beating in your chest. It’s energetic,
theatrical and uplifting. And Australia’s own internationally acclaimed
drumming ensemble, Taikoz, will be performing Japanese taiko in their
production, The Beauty of 8, at The Joan in Penrith on 20 July and at NIDA
on 27 July.

The Beauty of 8 is a juxtaposition of the sonic boom of six Odaiko grand
drums, the haunting shakuhachi, movement and lavish costumes.
