Do you like writing? This question polarizes the world, well, at least the academic world. Being a scientist includes many hours spent in front of a computer writing research papers. But writing is an art form in itself. And like every other skill it needs lots of practice. Our guest teaches the art of science writing in a way that is less pain and more fun.
Our hosts Anastasia and Cat, and our guest is Dr Marina Hurley, a Visiting fellow of the Centre of Ecosystem Science at UNSW Sydney and a consultant lecturer.
Marina is based in Melbourne and offers online courses and workshops to students and academics where she teaches scientific writing. Marina is not a researcher in this field. She followed her own experience and academic journey in writing to develop her own teaching perspective and material.
