Preview: The Bondi Festival 25 June – 11 July

A BEE STORY (Kai Leishman_07)

With the Bondi Festival  about to open and the Pavilion still a construction site, Festival co-director Phil Spencer is busy locking in alternate venues for this year’s performances.

The iconic ice rink and ferris wheel will be situated close by to the Pavillion, affording aerial views of the renovations.

With over 30 events on the program, there is literally something for everyone, from free events for the family to guided historic walks around the area.

Phil takes us through some of the highlights of the program, which is very affordable for the budget conscious festival goer.

Anna Thomas, How to Drink Wine Like a Wanker

The new venues include Bondi Beach  Public Bar, where Anna Thomas teaches us How to Drink Wine Like a Wanker.

Also the Wayside Chapel has turned their upstairs into a cool venue hosting several events, from cabaret to comedy and live music.

Tickets are on sale now but selling fast as crowd sizes are limited. Program details and ticket sales here.

Lee Sarich, actor

Also actor, Lee Sarich, joins us to talk about his one hander play, One is The Road, at the Short + Sweet Festival. It explores the idea of being able to hold seven different ideas in our head at one time.

We have 2 double passes to give away to listeners.
