Randwick Eco-Living Fair

Eco-Living Fair

On Sunday, 14th September Eco-living Fair will be celebrating its tenth year as Randwick City Council’s signature sustainability event.

In keeping with the spirit of the event, Randwick City Council is giving away over 3000 trees to visitors to help offset the carbon used in the fair’s infrastructure delivery and operation. There has been a particular focus on ensuring that the Eco-living fair is powered by renewable forms of energy including wind, solar and bio diesel.

This event offers a great mixture of food and environmentally friendly gift products from across the eastern suburbs and wider Sydney.  All food providers will offer food servings from local and seasonal produce along with eco-info stalls which will offer information on solar energy and the benefits of using eco-friendly products at home.

The fair is not all about serious matters, of course; there will be loads of family friendly entertainment and workshops such as yoga, arts and crafts, and gardening, and the opportunity to exchange books. In addition the eco-living fair aims to provide information about sustainability and the consumption of energy and water.

Located at the Randwick Community Centre, the Eco-living Fair encourages sustainable transport and offers a free shuttle bus service and bike valet – so hop on a bus and get dropped off right at the door, or hop on a bike and do your bit for a sustainable lifestyle.
