SEXES Festival, Performance Space

In this week’s episode of Something Else, Julian chatted with Bec Dean and Lex Lindsay from SEXES, a new festival produced in conjunction with Performance Space and running at Carriageworks until Dec 1.

SEXES explores and celebrates multiple perspectives of sex and sexuality. Performance Space’s SEXES festivalwill tickle, tantalise and tease audiences with an extensive visual arts exhibition, a new full-length performance work and a new dance work, provocative live art, passionate discussion, keynote lectures, dirty movies, erotic readings and even a danceathon.

Bec, as festival co-curator discusses the enormous amount of offerings the festival has, as well as its themes of gender, sexuality and culture, while Lex discusses ‘Dirty Movies’ an evening of films involving sexuality and gender as part of the festival.
