Shakespeare in the Vines 2015
For thirteen years the Essential Theatre Company has toured their widely popular Shakespeare in the Vines, and in this lucky year, the theatre will be performing Shakespeare’s most dramatic play Macbeth, set amongst the picturesque Calais Estate Vineyard in the Hunter Valley.
Bold and determined is Macbeth as he fights to ascend the throne in a gruesome and bloody fashion after three witches predicted that he will be king. A story of betrayal, desire and cunning, Macbeth is sure to provide a dramatic scene under the stars in one of Australia’s most beautiful wineries and gardens.
With it’s mystery and superstitions, The Scottish Play is perfect for the lucky “thirteenth” year of Shakespeare in the Vines. With a cast that features Martin Blum, Amanda LaBonte, Michael Wahr, Karlis Zaid, Sophie Lampel, Olivia Monticciolo, Tim Paige and Mia Landgren
