Candy Royalle
Candy Royalle has been writing and performing an arresting blend of poetry, storytelling and song for over ten years. She draws on the world around her for inspiration. Using experiences gathered during her lifetime, her subjects range from love to politics, people she’s met along the way and occasional rants.
So far, Candy Royalle’s distinctive, highly-charged performances have been enjoyed as part of the Annual Australian Poetry Festival; at the Carins Winter Solstice Festival; along side Mr Percival, Mal Webb and Sam Rogers (One Mouth Band) at Qirks and as part of the Mersey Sound Collective and other nights synonymous with poetry in Sydney,and around Australia. She has also travelled the globe, performing for audiences both English speaking and not. From Thailand and India to London and Spain, her live shows are renowned for they dynamism. Unapologetically driven to connect with people who would otherwise remain strangers, she aims to reach out and be heard whilst hearing the stories of others.
Candy Royalle has already sold out her first two shows at the Sydney Fringe Festival but a 3rd has been added for the 23rd September at Newtown Theatre
