Something Else talks to artist Harriet Body and Sarah Nolan of Branch3D

Has Harriet Body been filming through your window at night? If you’re walking through Forest Lodge next month, you might just catch a glimpse of yourself in Branch3D Window Gallery.

In this week’s episode of Something Else I’ll be chatting to Sarah Nolan, artist and director of Branch 3D, and Harriet Body, performance and video artist who you might remember from one of our episodes in late November.

The Window Series still, 2012, Harriet Body

Harriet’s latest work The Window Series is made up of videos taken through unaware Sydney residents’ windows at night. It explores themes of voyeurism, surveillance, community and the individual. Harriet Body’s previous works often involve performance, video and her own body.

Branch3D Window Gallery

Branch 3D is a window space in Forest Lodge which shows 3D works at street level, and they’re one of 100 galleries involved in Art Month 2012 which starts in March. Director Sarah Nolan is a visual artist herself whose works reappropriate ‘feminine’ domestic handicrafts.
