Sounds Of Soul chronicles: Thank y’all
I think it’s more than fair to use this Sounds Of Soul chronicles following last weeks Come Together Radiothon to express my thanks to a lot of people who make it possible to broadcast our little Rare Soul show for over 9 years now. First off all I’m in deeply grateful for all the listeners out there that tune in to Sounds Of Soul every week and especially to those that also showed their appreciation by signing up as supporter of Eastside Radio. You make it possible that this community radio station blossomed from it’s rather dormant state when I joined almost a decade ago to the vibrant and modern broadcaster it now. It’s also a great motivation for Sounds Of Soul to know that there are people out there that care so much about what we are doing that they give us some of their hard earned bucks. Secondly I’d like to thank Max Smart, Agent OO Soul and The Northern Soul Poster Boy for helping me out presenting the show whenever I can’t make it myself and putting together such fantastic shows on these occasions. The Northern Soul Poster Boy deserves special acknowledgement for putting up with me at the many co-moderations we did together, especially during Radiothon – without him it would never have been as successful as it was. And last but not least I’d like to take a bow to the Radio Eastside family that keep that whole thing running – the board, staff, management and all the volunteers whose enthusiasm is second to none. Thank y’all and keep on keeping on.
