Strathfield Spring Festival
Returning again this year with twice the amount of festivities … The Strathfield Spring Festival!
This year the celebration has been promoted to a two day event at Strathfield Park. The event will run on the weekend of the 10th and 11th of September.
The mission of the Strathfield Spring Festival is to celebrate and bring together the local community, and visitors to the Strathfield area.
Dates and times: Saturday 10 September 1pm-10.30pm and Sunday 11 September 10am-5p
Location: Strathfield Park, Homebush Road, Strathfield (Free shuttle bus from Strathfield Station)
THE PROGRAM
Saturday, September 10th:
1pm – Chinese Kite Flying festival (Bring your own kite or make one on location)
5pm – Korean lantern parade (featuring hand-made lanterns by local school students)
Evening – Bollywood performances from the Indian Dance Centre and a Bollywood movie screaning
– A fireworks display
Sunday, September 11th:
11:30am – 2:20pm – Performances on the main stage from Justice Crew, TaikOz, Natalie Colavito and SweetMojo
All day –
– Kidz World – animal farm, pony rides, puppet shows, face painting, craft activities and kids rides
– Martial Arts Stage – Taekwondo, Judo, Gumdo, Hapkido, Aikido and Ku Fung
– Asian and European Cusine – Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Malaysian, Italian, Lebanese, Turkish and Spanish
– Stalls and Showbags – it wouldn’t be a festival without them
