Sydney Fringe unleashed!

Following last year’s successful debut, Sydney’s independent performing and visual arts festival returns with attitude. And this time Eastside Radio is on board as proud media partner.

24 days, 65 venues, 250 events and over 1,000 performances! Shows and artists from Sydney, NSW, Australia and the world. While Newtown is still their base, Sydney Fringe are busting out across Sydney offering evermore of the city a chance to get Fringed with new precincts in Leichhardt, Parramatta, Chatswood, Darlinghurst’s Oxford Street and the city.

Eastside Radio is proud to co-present their new Fringe Club, Five Eliza, which will re-imagine one of Sydney’s hidden gems in the heart of Newtown and create a speakeasy lounge that will be the place for kicking back with the Fringe crowd.

Five Eliza’s home is the School of Arts Ballroom in Newtown, built around 100 years was once a gentleman’s club and is now home to a variety of creatives talents. This September, Eastside Radio will unleash its jazz artists at Five Eliza every Thursday, Friday and Saturday- stay tuned for more information.

The Sydney Fringe Festival begins on September 9 when we turn up the volume in ever-buzzing King Street with a live music stage at The Hub for Newtown Live! Take a free peek at the work of some of our festival visual artists plus buskers, street poetry, Samba Ninja, Pop-Up Festival and Five Eliza opens for business.
