SYDNEY RIDES FESTIVAL RETURNS TO SYDNEY

The Sydney Rides Festival is set to return this October, with over 20 unique events scheduled to delight all bicycle enthusiasts.

To an illuminated harbour night right, daring BMX stunts, pop-up video screenings and breakfast stores, the festival promises to delight all ages and riders of all experience levels

To kick off the celebration, cyclists will have the opportunity to grab a free breakfast at pop-up stalls for ‘Ride to Work Day’ in the morning of Wednesday 15 October. While enjoying their morning meal riders are also able to have their bikes tuned by mechanics and get route planning advice from cycling experts.

For those looking for biking thrills, the Festival will also include ‘Sydney Rides the City’, a fun filled day featuring the Spring Cycle, a 15 kilometre city ride segment which takes in some of Sydney’s most stunning attractions, including the Royal Botanical Gardens and the Rocks. The cycle will conclude at Pirrama Park in Pyrmont where riders can enjoy fascinating BMX stunts from the Big Air School. Moreover,this display will include face painting, gourmet food and live music, all of which form part of the ‘Pirrama Park Family Fun Bike Day’.

Another brand new feature is that riders will have the rare chance to explore Sydney by night in the inaugural ‘Sydney Rides the Night’. This event, starting on the evening of the 25^th October, will take cyclists on a loop past a sea of underlit trees, light shows and impressive views of the Harbour Bridge and Opera House. Last but not least, this awesome night ride will also include an outdoor lounge at Mrs Macquarie’s Point with Sydney’s overwhelming cityscape as the backdrop.
