The Java Quartet w/ Morganics and Bobby Singh LIVE broadcast from 505!
This April 12 Surry Hills sound haven Venue 505 will be filled with a miscellany of modern and traditional musical realms including digital beats, drum and bass, early hip hop and Hindustani raga. This is the latest instalment of the monthly music event Eastside Live at 505, and this month Eastside Radio presents The Java Quartet with Morganics and Bobby Singh.
Building upon the modal jazz styling of Miles Davis and John Coltrane since the mid 1990s, The Java Quartet has defined their ambience through six albums and a trance-like reflective sound.
Delving into a soundscape tinged with a taste of the East and a twist of Hip Hop, The Java Quartet will be accompanied by the outstanding ARIA award-winning and internationally renown tabla virtuoso, Bobby Singh, along with highly commended Australian Hip Hop MC and Producer Morganics, for an innovative and captivating sonic trip you won’t want to miss!
To keep the music flowing all night, Eastside’s very own Moodswing DJ (Tuesdays, 8pm) will be on the one’s and two’s for all the in-betweens.
For fans far away, Eastside Live at 505 will be broadcast live on air and online from 9.30pm to 11pm. Tune into 89.7FM or listen online at eastsidefm.org so you don’t miss a beat!
