The Matt Keegan Band
This month, Saxophonist, Matt Keegan returns to Sydney’s, The Sound Lounge at SIMA,to perform new compositions with his recently formed quintet, Matt Keegan Band.
A composer of over 20 years,with over 50 album and regular festival appearances to his credit, this busy, in demand Jazz artist regularly performs nationally and overseas to much acclaim. Previously recording five albums in previous musical incarnation, Mark Keegan Trio, this Baritone saxophonist has also appeared in well known bands,such as Mahalia Barnes’,The Soul Mates, and a who’s who of Jazz ensembles like Mark Isaac’s Resurgence Band, The Stu Hunter experiment, The Steve Hunter Band, 20th Century Dog and Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra.
Matt Keegan has also lead the horn section of TV’s ” The Voice Australia ” orchestra and maintains an active private practive as dedicated teacher to students of the saxophone.
