For those who don’t know, The Necks are an a experimental jazz trio who play improvisational pieces, up to an hour in length. To see them live is an opportunity that Eastside wholly recommends. The band has been around since the 80s, and the lineup has not changed, with Chris Abrahams on piano, Tony Buck on drums and Lloyd Swanton on bass.

The Irish Times called them “an underground international phenomenon”.
This is a music event that cannot be missed. Watching their live performances is an experience like no other. Here they break convention as all three musicians play independently yet somehow stay intertwined at the same time.
The trio have been successful in the music industry for a quarter of a century and released their 17th album in 2013. You will not be disappointed by any of their performances. The Necks know what they’re doing.
