Konono No.1 – Assume Crash Position

A band renowned for their eclectic live shows where they will pretty much play anything and get a cool sound from it. Their albums are representations if these performances rather than a collection of songs, and they capture the spirit of their homeland in the Democratic Republic of The Congo.

Tracks played on The New Thing:

‘Guiyome’

‘Konono Wa Wa Wa’

And today’s final track on The New thing was ‘Candonga’ by the awesome Buraka Som Sistem from Portugal from their new album Komba. A highly recommended release for those who are into their electronic music!

Happy New Year!
