George The Poet

Not strictly a new release this one but rather the emergence of a new extremely talented artist. George the Poet is a spoken word artist who is on a mission to change the landscape of rap music. He is a truly inspiring musician, who is using his rap words to try and change the lives of it’s listeners by using irony, satire and strong moral codes, quite the opposite of much commercial hip hop out there at the moment. This is the beginning of a career that will prove highly successful, from a man truly on a quest to make a difference.

Tracks played on The New Thing:

‘YOLO’

‘Fifty’

‘Blame Game’

Be sure to tune in every Monday from 9.00am til 10.30am for your weekly dose of fresh new music!
