Alternative soul man Allen Stone is in Australia for his upcoming performances at Bluesfest and at Blue Beat in Double Bay this Saturday 30th March. Soul, RnB and tinges of roots all with a polished feel is what to expect from the man who describes himself as a hippie with soul!

Aluka  – Space

A fantastic album that’s set to be released on April 5th next week, Aluka are an experimental female acapella group from Melbourne that have appeared on pop albums from the likes of Lisa Mitchell and Clare Bowditch. Space is their debut release and sees them sway between vocal pop, experimentalism, hip hop, jazz and hymnal music. Space was recorded at a whole heap of interesting and different locations including a swimming pool, barn, cars and a World War II Bunker to get a spread of vocal effects. Catch them on Thursday 11th April at Camelot Lounge!
