The Poets Picnic

The beautiful Blackburn Gardens will spring to life on the 26th of February, for the Annual Poets Picnic. MC’d by the ABC’s Simon Marnie, the night features readings by some of Australia’s most celebrated Poets and a few exciting new comers.

So bring down a rug and watch as night falls over the harbour and the city is blanketed with stars  while listening to some poetry and even some sweet mellow jazz. Theres also the poetry tent which offers private reading sessions and the kids can enjoy the free Chalk poetry workshops.

Light refreshments will be provided for purchase and why not bring your swimmers too, as its just a short walk to the Murray Rose Pool. Enjoy the city in a truly unique way.
