Well don’t fret, Randwick City Council has the best remedy for our sorrows and has brought Summer back for one last day.

Come along on Sunday the 16th of March, head down to the hub of Randwick and experience all that ‘The Spot Festival’ has to offer. With an array of entertainment, a ‘kids corner’, diverse food and unique market stalls what better way to spend a Sunday in the sun?

The ‘Spot Festival’ caters to all Sunday lovers, so whether you enjoy your sleep in on a Sunday or are up before the crack of dawn, don’t worry as the the main festivities begin at 1pm and will follow into the night. There are two main entertainment areas filled with performances from talented, local artists and they are sure to keep you on your feet for the night. Belly dancers, salsa dancing and a silent disco are just a few of the charismatic performances that will grace the streets of Randwick. A licensed festival bar will not be too far away from the dance floor, including a range of alcoholic drinks that you would find all over the world.

‘The Spot Festival’ has ensured that you won’t leave hungry, so after you have danced off the food from earlier, its now time to hit the market stalls and immerse yourself into a array of  multicultural food. Your tastebuds will reply with a ‘thank you’ after you have indulged in the variety that is on offer. Greek, Italian, Moroccan, Thai, Indian, Mexican and Spanish cuisines are the diverse range of food that could be on your plate, and there is something for the dessert lovers, Dutch pancakes and an icy cold gelato will surely satisfy the sweetest sweet tooth.

Randwick City Council has one last temptation on offer: handmade jewellery, women’s clothing, books and children’s toys can all be found at the market stalls. The Kids’ Corner includes face painting, an animal petting zoo and a jumping castle which will get the kids jumping all the way home after a fun filled day in Randwick.
