This Jazz Concert will make for “A Royal Christmas”

Enjoy “A Royal Christmas” at the iconic Royal Hotel as Cathrine Summers and Nic Jeffries perform jazzy Christmas Classics to lead you into the silly season. This concert on the 23rd of December is part of the free Jazz Sessions at The Royal Hotel that run each Sunday from 5.30pm.

“We’re putting on an afternoon of toe-tapping amazing swing, some carols and pop, festive legendry tunes to get everyone fired up into the spirit,” states Cathrine Summers who is joined by stellar vocalist and sax player Nic Jeffries, as well as Glenn Doig on piano, Alex Boneham on double bass and James Waples on drums.

Although Cathrine Summers hasn’t been in the music business for very long, her love for jazz has been something that dates back to her childhood:

As a young girl, jazz was the music that I’d dance around my bedroom to believe it or not!” Cathrine is very modest about her recent success: “For me as a singer, it has never really been an ambition to be famous, but rather to ensure I perform the songs that move people.”

Nic Jeffries is recognized as one of Australia’s leading male vocalist as well as sax players. James Morrison announced this year: “Nic has that natural groove that draws the audience into a song, to hear Nic is to feel good!”.

Peter March from 99.3 FM agrees, he refers to Jeffries as “… one of a select few who’s path to serious recognition throughout Australia as a highly respected Artist is ASSURED”!

Let “A Royal Christmas” light up your heart and fill it with the wonderful tunes of these amazing musicians.
