Join Maisy Stapleton and her guests this Arts Thursday 17th July and travel in time from Jacobean England to Australia’s future.

The Lost Prince was Henry, elder brother of the ill-fated Charles 1. This handsome, talented scion of James 1 of England, seemed to embody the virtues of his age but died in 1612 before he could fulfill these glorious predictions .

His exquisitely rendered portrait, along with that of his sister The Winter Queen, features in a focus exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW.  Both portraits from the National Portrait Gallery in London support a season of portraiture around the Archibald Prize Exhibition. Josephine Touma, Senior Coordinator of Public Programs at the Art Gallery of NSW provides some fascinating insight into the Prince, his world and art of the time.
