Transforming

From the visual to the musical, to the architectural, and from the 15^th to the 21^st centuries, Arts Thursday on 9^th April, from 10:30 til noon, spans a gamut of ideas and forms.

Join Maisy Stapleton as she speaks firstly to Anthony Pasquill, the Musical Director of Bel a cappella, now launching its 20^th anniversary with the enigmatically named concert Miserere at the Cell Block Theatre on 19^th April.

With his inimitable enthusiasm and musical understanding, Anthony will contextualise the concert repertoire and we will preview highlights of the program, which includes music from the 15^th century composer Johannes Ockeghem to 21^st century Australian composers Anna Jacobs and David Basden.

In an equally celebratory vein, we are joined by Art Space Director Alexie Glass-Kantor and architect Ashley Dunn, from Dunn & Hillam architects, to discuss the recent transformation of Art Space in Woolloomooloo, Sydney’s pre-eminent contemporary and experimental  art centre and the launch of a new program of engagement with contemporary artists, art forms and audiences.
