Transforming

angel croppedFrom the visual to the musical, to the architectural, and from the 15th to the 21st centuries, Arts Thursday on 9th April, from 10:30 til noon, spans a gamut of ideas and forms.

Join Maisy Stapleton as she speaks firstly to Anthony Pasquill, the Musical Director of Bel a cappella, now launching its 20th anniversary with the enigmatically named concert Miserere at the Cell Block Theatre on 19th April.

With his inimitable enthusiasm and musical understanding, Anthony will contextualise the concert repertoire and we will preview highlights of the program, which includes music from the 15th century composer Johannes Ockeghem to 21st century Australian composers Anna Jacobs and David Basden.

In an equally celebratory vein, we are joined by Art Space Director Alexie Glass-Kantor and architect Ashley Dunn, from Dunn & Hillam architects, to discuss the recent transformation of Art Space in Woolloomooloo, Sydney’s pre-eminent contemporary and experimental  art centre and the launch of a new program of engagement with contemporary artists, art forms and audiences.
