Trio Pollastri @ Randwick Twilight Concerts
Trio Pollastri are Fiona Ziegler, Rosemary Quinn and Lillian Camphausen. These talented musicians are in demand round the world and will be thrilling a local Randwick audience with their impeccable interpretation of music from the Classical and Baroque period.
Trio Pollastri first played together in 2012 when their three very different musical journeys brought them together to explore a repertoire they love. All three of these talented musicians have a passion for the Baroque and Classical periods and have played in orchestras and chamber orchestras in Australia and throughout the world.
Tonight’s performance will begin with Beethoven’s Piano Trio Opus 97 considered to be one of his finest pieces of chamber music. This was the last piece that Beethoven played before succumbing to his deafness and was a unanimous choice for Trio Pollastri. This will be followed by ‘The Dolly Suite’ opus 56 by Gabriel Faure, a suite of six whimsical descriptive movements beautifully arranged for Piano trio by Nicholas Cherniavsky. You are invited to come up close and experience this beautiful performance.
The In-flight Bar and Diner opens at 6pm serving delicious snacks and a selection of wines and beers.
