WANTED: ARTS PRESENTERS & PRODUCERS

Eastside Radio is a vibrant community station delivering high quality programs, ranging from specialist music to the arts for listeners both on air and online.

Arts programs are 1 ½ hours long and are a mixture of interviews and music. Presenters select, research and prepare interviews and choose music for each program. All presenters at Eastside are volunteers.

Successful applicants will have a broad knowledge of and a lively interest in the arts, a pleasant speaking voice and outgoing personality.

No prior experience is necessary but broadcast skills are an advantage.

Selection Criteria

Able to source and research arts interviews on a weekly/fortnightly basis

Able to then edit, produce and present interviews as self made content pieces

A knowledge of or willingness to explore music that complements the Eastside Sound

Advanced computer skills including uploading content to websites

Able to maintain and expand an arts blog connected to website

Interest in podcasting and digital delivery of arts content

Strong social media skills

Able to work autonomously within the arts team

Advanced written and oral skills
