On this week’s Thursday Drive Mick Paddon talks with David Shoebridge, a State MP who is on a Parliamentary Inquiry looking at the State Government’s plans for local councils in NSW. The plans include merging five councils in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, including the City of Sydney, into one mega council, and merging six inner western councils into another single, large council. The Inquiry is finding that virtually everyone and every councils is opposed, and David points out that there are major obstacles to the State Governments plans happening
