What’s on this Australia Day 2015

Sydney will be a hub of excitement this Australia Day with some fantastic local events going on in Coogee, Sydney and Little Bay to celebrate.

This year, Coogee Beach, Hyde Park and Little Bay are the places to be, with many free events going on for all families big and small.

Coogee Beach is kicking off the day with a splash. From 10am to 2pm, the Goldstein Reserve will be host to the best free waterslides Sydney has to offer. Many different slides and inflatable amusements will be available for all your water wonderland needs to make your Australia Day holiday the best one you’ve ever had. Sydney city has always held some of the best Australia Day activities, and this year is no different. If you prefer to keep out of the crowded beaches this national holiday, make your way down to Hyde Park for a bunch of fun activities that will also feature some of television’s favourite tv characters for the kiddies. In the CBD will be an Australia Day CARnivale that feature hundreds of vintage and classic cars, buses and trucks as well as a showcase of the best high performance and luxury cars Sydney has to offer. Australia Day festival at Darling Harbour

At the Prince Henry Centre in Little Bay there will be a show of live music and workshops with arts and crafts and a roving reptile and animal show for the family, to make for a fantastic picnic day for your national holiday. From 12pm, live music from UKE Junction and a children’s stage show will be on hand to entertain you during your picnic. As well as the live show atmosphere, there will also be many different workshops for the little ones that include badge making using Australia flags, stickers, textas and glitter, aboriginal inspired dot painting and Australian Flag tissue paper craft to entertain them for hours!
